From September 1st to 8th, the first world school rugby tournament was organised in Pontlevoy in Loir-et-Cher 🏉
The Rugby Heritage Cup brought together 40 teams from 18 different nations. For a week, the women’s and men’s teams from these nations competed to win this prestigious trophy !
DON BOSCO ASHALAYAM 🇮🇳
Our partner the NGO Don Bosco Ashalayam in collaboration with the project Khelo Rugby allowed young Indians to come and represent their nation. The opportunity for them to participate in a first major world tournament, to share their customs and traditions and to live together with young people from all over the world !
The NGO Don Bosco Ashalayam allows vulnerable young Indians to emancipate themselves through sport, access to education and medical care.

Highly appreciated, they showed great kindness and generosity throughout the tournament. The Decathlon Foundation followed their performances, from Pontlevoy to the Villeneuve d’Ascq Campus, where they were able to meet our colleagues 😊
Cooking workshops, drawing workshops, short films, rugby matches, dances and a visit to Paris, they will keep unforgettable memories of their time in France !
