4 magnificent projects were supported during our last Board of Directors meeting on May 24th.
Discover them below:
- The project “CHU de Nice” carried out by the teams of Decathlon Nice Lagostière and the Nice Hospital, which will improve the conditions of care for patients in the psychiatry department. The project consists of redesigning the closed wards, where the patients are hospitalized under constraint, in order to offer them soothing and friendly spaces, and to develop physical, sports and leisure activities;
- A second project in Nice, this time carried out by the Decathlon Nice TNL teams: the “Des quartiers au sommet” project, in order to make the world of the mountains accessible to schoolchildren from priority neighborhoods and to make them aware of the fragility but also the richness of this environment, while developing their life skills to increase their chances of employability and to open up future prospects;
- The “Pauses Sportives” project, by the teams of the Btwin Village in Lille and the Jardin de Cocagne in Villeneuve d’Ascq, managed by ALEFPA Association. Its objective is to set up sports activities to help socialize vulnerable people on their way to integration, and to improve their mobility through the purchase of bicycles;
- Finally, the “Spike and Serve” project by our Philippines teams, in order to allow young people in extreme poverty to have access to sports (volleyball and martial arts) and to be accompanied in the long term to allow them a better inclusion, via the purchase of equipment and the training of coaches.
We would also like to thank the SOLFA Association and the students of the IAE of Lille, who came to present their project, winner of our call for projects for students. “Toutes à l’abri” allows the purchase of sports equipment for the residents of the emergency shelter “l’abri”, and thus makes it possible for women victims of violence and their children to practice sports.
The Foundation’s team and all the members of the board wish to thank the various associations and the many teammates who are involved in the field to accompany the beneficiaries in fragile situations.
